My friend has an extra guild wars factions key but he has no install cd for factoins. Can he just enter it manually in the option when he only has prophecies or does he have to have the rest of factions cd? If so, can someone give me a link that will help downoad the factions game?

You can enter the CD Key with the option on the log-in page. The CD isn't required.

The game will automatically start downloading all the new content when he enters the new areas.
